WHAT is Branding?

Let’s define branding. Branding is a naming a company or a business by a mark, logo, design or any other types that defines the seller’s goods and/or services. It serves as a distinction and makes a difference of your brand new company among your competitors.

WHY Branding is important?

This is very important for business. This will make your brand new company remembered by your viewers. Proper branding may result to larger sales.

HOW to Use Branding?

There are 10 ways to use branding for your brand new company.

▪ Naming

Name that represents the company. For example, when it comes to soft drinks/ soda, what company is on your mind? There are two big names, Coca-Cola and Pepsi. See to it that when naming, one word name is very effective other more than three word names.

▪ Logo

Proper logo is also a branding. Right logo to the right company will always be remembered. For example, the name of the company that Steve Jobs co-founded and being the CEO of it is Apple, Inc. By its name, the logo they used is also an apple. It’s easy to remember.

▪ Catchy Phrase

Another one is the phrases used for the company. For example, the company LG Corporation used also its two letter name and it’s “Life’s Good”.

▪ Graphics

Lettering design of one’s name is important. It represents the uniqueness of the company and no other businesses can use it. Just like the company Nestlé S.A., they have their unique lettering that only them can use it.

▪ Shapes

When it comes to your products, unique shape of your goods is also important for your brand new company. It represents the creativeness that your company brings. For example, Coca-Cola and Pepsi bottles are different in shapes and sizes.

▪ Sounds

Most people when they hear something, it will always play in their heads. So this strategy in branding is very effective. Making a short song for your company, like in cell phone companies, when you hear a phone ringing in their default ring tone, you’ll know what brand it is.

▪ Scents

This branding is mostly to colognes and perfume companies. The uniqueness of the scents of these products tells only to people which are better. Once they used it, they know what to buy after they consumed what they bought.

▪ Tastes

This branding applies to all food makers in the world, even the side street food vendors. Just like the scent, people will buy to you if the food you sell is better than any other food sellers. For example, the taste of chicken of KFC and McDonald’s are different from each other.

All mentioned above was very effective when branding. This branding is important for brand new company that lets your business unique and the quality of your goods are different among others. Always remember that when branding, always use easy characters for consumers around the world always remembers your business.
